There’s a star in the sky for you and it will always be shining brightly There was room in your heart for everyone and you had the warmth to love us all You always said – ‘there’s a place for everything and everything in it’s place’ – your place was in my heart and always will be! You gave me the gift of dance – my heart sings when I am dancing – we danced and we danced together and I held your hand Thank you Mum This is for the children : - You may shed tears that she is gone - or you can smile because she has lived You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back – or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left for you Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her – or you can be full of the love which you shared You can turn your back on tomorrow and live for yesterday – or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday You can remember her only that she is gone – or you can cherish her memory and let it live on You can cry - and close your mind, be empty and turn your back – or you can do what Nana would have wanted you to do - smile – open your eyes – love – and go on. We believed at the end of this roller coaster journey that it was Mummys’ strong heart that was keeping her here with us – somehow feeling that she was still loving us as her heart continued to beat - it has now stopped beating but she continues to love us.
